Tom Davis and Old Mountain Press Anthology SeriesMost writers agree that having their poems and stories published is the highlight of all of their hard work. In the course of submitting work, we often look for journals and magazines that publish special themes to match up with our writing. Tom Davis, writer and publisher of the Old Mountain Press Anthology Series publishes theme related anthologies. Old Mountain Press, primarily a self-publishing company, publishes an anthology series (with eight currently in print) that features short poetry and prose. However, this series is not considered a self-published work as contributors are not required to pay a submission or reading fee and are not required or even encouraged to purchase copies. Each work is theme specific and requires at least 50 pages and not more than 100 pages to go to print with about 15 pages dedicated to the contributors' biographies. Finally, this series is not open to the public, but rather to former contributors or someone recommended by a former contributor. Each anthology has its own web page with something about the book and a list of all contributors' biographies.
